We Are Royals: It Runs in our Blood.

AUTHOR:ROSSANA S MOHAMMED.

Unlike Lourdes in her song, “Royal”, And we’ll never be royals (royals).
It don’t run in our blood. The lyrics from this song are wrong as we are all God’s Masterpiece, and made in His image and likeness. We are Royals and and it runs in our blood. Families411.com celebrates this week as the Week of Hope, and today, Monday, our Topic is:

What Gives us Hope?

What gives us hope to greet each day, and to get through our daily lives during the good times, and especially the bad times or uncertain times?  When we have hope we wait, and we look ahead. Hope gets us through  our trials and our darkest days, and although we do not know what tomorrow brings us, we are prepared to face it by placing our hope in Jesus Christ.

Having a purpose in life gives us hope.

  1.  We are born for a purpose, so what is yours? Maybe to be another civil rights leader like Martin Luther King, Jr., or a scientist who will find a cure for cancer, or a psychiatrist to take care of mentally-ill street kids in India, or simply to make your family the best, or your community the safest. Be the best you.
  2.  So, let us use the talents that we are given, and make the world a better place. When we fulfill our purpose in life, we wake up with a song in our hearts and a pep in our steps. Each day we greet with joy and anticipation for we are happy to be alive.

How Do we get through Tough Times?

“Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.” – Joshua J. Marine

There are going to be trials and difficulties in life, and it is during these times that we can grow for we gain invaluable strength, and we can rise above our difficulties. No matter what we are going through, we are never alone, for God is always with us and we can get through tough times through prayers

We get through tough times BY prayers.

No man is an island and no man stands alone, so God did not put us on earth to be alone. He is our source of strength and comfort in our journeys, and He sees the bigger picture. God wants to help us if we but ask. Call upon God in our times of difficulties and and seek His counsel in our times of distress. God cares for our happiness and we have to trust in His divine mercy. For we are Royals; it runs in our blood.

So remember this…

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
—Romans 12:12

When times are tough, and we face darkness, don’t give up hope. Remember that the darkness will pass and there will be light, for this too shall pass! When life flips us upside-down, it will not last forever. It does not mean this darkness will go away immediately. But, we have to remember all the good things still in our lives, and be grateful for those things. Above all, cling to God through prayers.

Here is a song to help you to stay strong.

National Compliment Today.

What does Compliments have to do with Hope?

First, the more we compliment others, the more we start to look for positive things which makes us happier. The happier we are, the more hopeful we become. When we compliment somebody, we show them appreciation, or approval, or admiration, or encouragement, or hope. So one compliment can really make the difference in someone’s life. It also takes the focus off our own darkness as we bring light to somebody else.

Celebrate National Compliment Day.

National Compliment day is believed to have been started in 1998 by  Kathy Chamberlin and Debby Hoffman. According to Holidays Calendar, they  founded this day on the basis that when we compliment others, we create a positive environment, which strengthens our connection. This day reminds us to take time out to compliment those around us for the big and small things.

Whom and What to Compliment.
  • Compliment your family, your friends, your neighbors, your doctors, your coworkers, even the strangers that you meet today.
  • Compliment their clothes, their hats, their scarves, their smiles, their work, their efforts.
  • Put a smile on somebody’s face, and see if you don’t smile back too.
  • Make sure your compliments are sincere and comes from your heart.
  • We are Royals. It runs in our blood. Let us act like Royal today by giving out compliments to everybody we meet today.

What gives us Comfort?

When we are down and out in life and we’ve had enough of it, what can we turn to for comfort?  Sometimes going for a run, or a walk in nature gives us hope. Or it could be going a to a special place that holds good memories for us. Or eating a bowl of ice cream or a box of chocolate or home made soup. Doing one of these act can help us to feel uplifted and give us hope, and help us to become optimistic.

What Inspires Us during our struggles?

During hard times, we sometimes get tired of trying, and want to give up. But a good movie can make us laugh or cheer or sometimes even cry. When we see underdogs win, despite all their adversities and difficulties, we can relate to them. Movies can give us hope and inspire us not to give up. Inspirational movies can make us look deep within ourselves, and find the strength to carry on.

Here is a heartwarming movie of adversities, struggles and hope that leaves us inspired and feeling good.

The Shawshank Redemption is the story of a man Andy Dufresne, who spent 20 years in prison for a crime that he did not even commit. And  instead of playing a victim, he becomes a Victor. Although he endured horrible conditions, he stayed positive and became an inspiration to his friends in jail, and to all who watch this movie. For Andy never lost hope.

When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.” –Harriet Beecher Stowe
